Open Bid Report: Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 19, 2026

1. Who we are. Open Bid Report ("we," "us") is an Alabama-based business. Contact: [email protected]. A postal address is available on request at that email.

2. What we collect.

  • What you give us on the signup or preferences form: your email address; your first name and company (both optional); your industries, regions and states (saved as tags in Kit); any "other trade" you type in; your consent and its date; and anything you send when you reply to us.
  • Payments: Stripe, through Kit, processes your payment. We get limited billing information, such as your plan, its status, the last 4 digits of your card and your billing country or ZIP code. We never get your full card number.
  • Automatically: This website uses no analytics or tracking cookies. Kit, the email provider, may record opens and clicks to deliver the newsletter.

3. Double opt-in. After you sign up, Kit sends a confirmation email. You aren't added to the list until you click the confirm link.

4. How we use it. To send the issues you chose, match bids to your industries and states, run your subscription, reply to you, improve the Service (for example, seeing which categories are popular) and comply with the law. The Free digest is the top 5 notices in the first industry and the first region you pick. Pro covers every industry and region you select.

5. We don't sell your data. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Who we share it with. Only with service providers that help us run the Service:

  • Cloudflare: website and email routing
  • Kit: email delivery and subscriber list
  • Stripe: payments
  • Cloud service providers we use to run our data pipeline: they process public bid data and hold no subscriber data unless noted

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights.

7. Your email choices (CAN-SPAM). You can unsubscribe using the link in your account or receipt emails, or by emailing [email protected]. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly, within 10 business days at most. You can change your industries and states at any time through the preferences link in every email. A postal address is available on request at [email protected].

8. Your rights and requests. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Email requests to [email protected]. We'll verify your request using your subscribed email address.

9. Retention. We keep subscriber data while you're subscribed and for up to 24 months after you unsubscribe or cancel, for records, tax and dispute purposes. Then we delete it or make it anonymous.

10. Security. We use reputable providers and access controls. No method is 100% secure.

11. Children. The Service is for businesses and isn't directed to anyone under 18.

12. Changes. We'll post updates here and email you about material changes.
